Max Weinberg 7 Are the New Tonight Show Band

In recent weeks it was reported that Max Weinberg and the Max Weinberg 7 would not be Conan O'Brien's house band on the Tonight show because it had too many ties to the East coast and Bruce Springsteen. On tonight's episode of Late Night, O'Brien, announced that those rumors were false. The Max Weinberg 7 will join Conan in June on the Tonight show. O'Brien's gig as host of Late Night ends on Friday. Jimmy Fallon will replace him in March.

apparently Andy Richter is going to be Conan's announcer when he takes over the Tonight Show in June. Max Weinberg and the Max Weinberg 7, Andy Richter announcing and Conan hosting... Leno who?
