Perhaps a "Coup" for McCain meeting with the United States largest trading partner, whereby it is said Obama and Clinton  stated they would scrap the Nafta agreement, only to backtrack once it was made public.

WASHINGTON - Republican presidential candidate John McCain will visit Canada next week at the height of an intense election-year debate with his Democratic rival, Barack Obama, over the North American Free Trade Agreement.

The Arizona senator will speak June 20 in Ottawa at a luncheon hosted by the Economic Club of Canada, said Nicolee Tattersall, the group's global manager of public affairs.

"We are very excited to be able to offer this," Tattersall said Wednesday night.NAFTA has been an unlikely source of controversy throughout the 2008 campaign.

In February, Obama became embroiled in controversy after his senior economic adviser reportedly told Canadian diplomats that the Illinois senator's threat to renegotiate NAFTA was "political positioning."

McCain has been a strong supporter of NAFTA and this week blasted Obama for being critical of a deal he says has been a huge benefit to the United States.
