McCain picks Alaska Gov. Palin as running mate

I don't know whether this choice will help or hurt McCain in the long run. He's made such an issue of Obama's lack of experience that it seems odd he would choose a relative unknown like this. On the other hand, the fact that she is a woman will even up the playing field a bit. Either we will have the first woman vice president, or the first black president. Both would be historic and change the face of politics in this country. One thing is for sure: it was a bold move on McCain's part. This election year is shaping up to be very interesting!
