Sir Paul McCartney stated Wednesday that he's "carrying a message of peace" to Israelis and Palestinians, as he travelled through Bethlehem, Israel, and the West Bank.

McCartney is set to play a concert in Tel Aviv on Thursday, despite criticism suggesting that "his visit to Israel supports its occupation of the West Bank".
Paul McCartney said Wednesday he's carrying a message of peace for Israel and the Palestinians, rejecting criticism of his planned concert in Tel Aviv.

McCartney toured the West Bank town of Bethlehem, visiting the Church of the Nativity, built over the traditional birthplace of Jesus.

The 66-year-old former Beatle ducked into the fourth-century church through its low, narrow entrance, taking pictures with a small camera. He lit two long, tapered white candles in different parts of the church, saying each time that they were "for peace

It was not a criticism it was a personal threat to his life.  Anyway, when an entertainer decides to go to any other country regardless of their horrendous civil rights issues you can hear a pin drop. Only this kind of  banter takes place when it is regarding Jews/Israel. Hmmm. I think that is why there is a Jewish State.

Some of you may remember McCartney carrying the message of the peacepipe to the people and "live and let die" on the exact location where Wolfe and Montcalm changed the history of North America in 1759. La prestation did generate its share of criticism considering the 400th anniversary of presence of francophone in North America. I must admit that the former Beatle pulled it off very nicely. It was however a piece of gateau compared to the Middle East situation. I certainly wish him well with all the lunatics seeking violence out there.

Do all of you come from Western Canada? Is there a pattern and conspiracy going on here?

I just love Sir Paul McCartney and having seen him live was one of the most wonderful experiences I've ever had. I hope I can see him again.
