McDonald's Monopoly game 2009 has already begun, and will end on November 2nd. As we all know, there are some rare pieces that are impossible to fine. Here is the list of rare pieces and the odds of winning the prizes.

Everything is available in the 13,336 words long official rules, but for your convenience we've compiled them into a simple list.

Basically all the rare ones are alphabetically the last property in each group except Broadwalk, the last piece on the board. For example, Kentucky Avenue is the hardest to find among Kentucky Avenue, Indiana Avenue, and Illinois Avenue.

In totally there are approximately 542,033,850 pieces available for distribution: 487,722,050 in Domestic Territory, 54,311,800 in Canada.

Rare pieces and their odds:

  • Mediterranean Avenue ($50 prize, 2000 available, one in 1,057,000)
  • Short Line Railroad ($500 prize, 750 available, one in 21,956,000)
  • Vermont Avenue ($1,000 prize, 125 available, one in 64,603,000)
  • Virginia Avenue ($2,000 prize, 75 available, one in 34,165,000)
  • Tennessee Avenue ($5,000 prize, 10 available, one in 256,235,000)
  • Kentucky Avenue ($10,000 prize, 6 available, one in 427,058,000)
  • Ventnor Avenue ($25,000 prize, 8 available, one in 320,293,000)
  • Pennsylvania Avenue ($50,000 prize, 4 available, one in 640,586,000)
  • Boardwalk ($1 million dollar prize, 1 available, one in 542,034,000)

Instant win prizes:

  • Food prizes (approximately 1 in 6)
  • $50 (5000 available, one in 109,000)
  • $50 Arch Card (250 available, one in 1,951,000)
  • Xbox 360 (on Large Fries and Angus Burger, 3000 available, one in 24,000)
  • $500 Shell Gift Card (100 available, 1 in 4,878,000)
  • $25,000 (8 available, 1 in 67,755,000)

Here is the 2009 McDonald's Monopoly Game Board.

If there's no Krispy Creme burger, then I'm not interested.

They did have a McLobster in Maine when I was there 10 years ago.  A hunk of lobster on a hot dog bun.  I ain't kidding either, it sucked.

The McLobster is live and well. It comes back seasonally... I've had it twice in the last 10 years.  They have a pre-formed "claw" shape in each mclobster to give it that fresh-out-of-the-lobster-mould look.  Deelish.

My friend said they serve lobster burgers in Nova Scotia, which is only reasonable.

I'm from Halifax, Nova Scotia and pleased to say they serve the "McLobster" at McDonalds during the summer time...Also pleased to say I've never had it...Although I've heard good things lol

I received 4 stamps yesturday on my food and coffee and didn't try putting them in the computer until today.  Guess what out of 4 stamps only 1 number had not been entered by someone else.  When I tried to reach someone regarding this they never got back with me.

These numbers are NOT correct.  (1) the number of domestic pieces has too many numbers in it (over 4 billion the way it is written).(2) the number of domestic pieces and canadian pieces do NOT add up to the total number of pieces.(3) all the odds are WRONG.  For instance, if there are 10 Tennessee Avenue pieces, the odds of getting one would be 10 in 542,033,850 or 54,203,385 not 256,235,000IS THIS GAME CROOKED?

Sorry made a typo adding one zero too many on the number of domestic pieces.

In the official rules it does not specify the odds of getting the specific rare pieces, rather it's the odds of getting the prizes, which requires the other more ubiquitous pieces. Maybe that's why the odds seem to be off.

WHAT?

That rare list is gay and wrong. I know three ppl who got boardwalk, and they showed it to me.

I don't see how that's gay.  Wrong, yes.
