Media Democracy Day is here! Truth in Media anyone? by thinktank

The second annual Media Democracy Day is here,  See non-corporate media in action. Come on down to the Vancouver Public Library Sat Oct 25 and see what truth in Media looks like.  Witness non-corporate media channnels of all kinds.

We TTMCers (ThinkTankMediaCoo-op members) were there last year and the turnout was amazing...
The booths/Tables were very well laid out. New media companies such as your very own Now Public are willing to share ideas and take feedback on the spot.. Adbusters was there as well as Submedia.  Vancouver is the home of many groundbreaking new media concepts.. and most of them will likely be present this year at the MDD.  Steve Anderson is publisher of COAnews and founder of MDD.

This years confirmed speakers are:
*Rex Weyler - Co-founder of Green Peace
*
Deborah Campbell - Award Winning Independent Journalist
*David Beers - Founding Editor of The Tyee
*Charlie Smith - Editor of the Georgia Straight
*Gurpreet Singh - Broadcaster on Radio India, freelance columnist for Surrey Now, freelance reporter for South Asian Post
