Mel Gibson Girlfriend: Oksana Pochepa or Oksana Kolesnikova?

Mel Gibson has one confirmed girlfriend, 24 year old Oksana Pochepa and photos of the pair taken in Costa Rica last month are believed to be behind wife Robyn Gibson's decision to file for divorce.

Mel Gibson has also been linked to another Oksana, Oksana Kolesnikova, who admits to a fling but not an emotional affair.

Some reports have Oksana Pochepa and Oksana Kolesnikova as alias names for the same woman, but they are actually two very different people and it is unclear which Oksana prompted Robyn Gibson to file for divorce.

Robyn Gibson cited the usual "irreconcilable differences" when she filed suit in California this week, but tabloids everywhere are blaming Oksana Pochepa, a Russian singer/model signed to Mel's Australian record label. (Yes, he has one!) Mel was seen with her, or perhaps another bikini-clad beauty, kissing in the surf in Costa Rica about a month ago, so the ol' "We're just friends" is probably not going to work.

Because Mel and Robyn didn't have a prenup when they married in Australia, she stands to gain some half a billion dollars in the settlement since she filed in California. Mel's response? The pair have been separated since his DUI arrest in August 2006, with the understanding that they would be seeing other people.

It would have been better for Mel if he vacationed in a place too private for paparazzi. (This is the same Costa Rican mansion where he took Britney Spears, which was also captured on film and which in retrospect seems kinda creepy.)

After the news of the Gibson divorce hit Oksana Pochepa was quick to speak up in defense of her man. She has reportedly claimed that she and Mel Gibson are genuinely "in love" and that she hopes to be with him for a long time. Hope she's not Catholic too, because then she can never really be with him in the eyes of the Church.

following the intense media speculation surrounding the Gibson's split, the 24-year-old Russian beauty has spoken out about her and Mel's relationship claiming the couple are "in love" and that their relationship "is serious and I hope that our union will be real and strong and long-lasting. We are different people but Mel is a grown man and knows precisely what he wants and me too - I know what I want."

I wonder how Oksana feels about the rumors that she is but one of Mel Gibson's many girlfriends? Rumors that Gibson has strayed during his near 3 decades of marriage to Robyn Gibson are not new yet the public humiliation of the photos taken of Mel and Oksana in Costa Rica were probably the last straw.

The pictures were said to have been the final straw for long-suffering Robyn, who rescued Gibson from alcoholism and whom he referred to as his 'Rock of Gibraltar'.

But Robyn's torment deepened yesterday when no less than four separate women were 'identified' as the mystery Oksana.

Suspect one, identified by internet rumours, is a blonde Russian singer named Oksana Kolesnikova. She yesterday admitted 'entertaining Mr Gibson with her piano music', but insists the pair have 'no emotional ties' and are 'not romantically involved'.

Suspect two is a different Russian pop singer - Oksana Pochepa, 24, whose nickname is 'Shark' and who said she was the unidentified female photographed with the star during his Boston shoot of new movie Edge Of Darkness. She said she was also with him on holiday in Costa Rica.

Mel Gibson was served with a divorce action by wife of 28 years Robyn Gibson over the Easter weekend, which critics called a very un-Catholic move on her part, but now it seems that adultery, and not the "irreconcilable differences" cited in the divorce petition, is behind the split.

I'm pretty sure that having an extramarital affair with a woman younger than your own daughter is pretty un-Cathlolic behavior too, even if you and your long suffering wife have an "understanding."

Robyn Gibson suddenly isn't looking so bad for choosing to petition for a divorce during Easter and just days before her youngest son Tom's 10th birthday.

One has to wonder though, if Gibson really adheres to the Catholic faith anymore. If the serial adultery isn't a clue that his faith has waivered his personal mission, his Malibu based "Catholic" Church of the Holy Family, should raise a few eyebrows.

Holy Family is a private, independent traditionalist Catholic chapel in Agoura Hills, California, United States. It is not affiliated with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Its 70 or so members are traditional Catholics who seek to worship in the way they believe all Roman Catholics always had until the 1960s. This includes the celebration of the Tridentine Mass.

The congregation formerly procured the services of the formerly diocesan, now independent, traditionalist Catholic priest, Rev. Louis Campbell, Ph.D., who now oversees St. Jude's Shrine in Stafford, Texas. Rev. Procopio is currently the chaplain in charge of the Holy Family Church. Archbishop emeritus Carlos Quintero Arce consecrated the church in February, 2007.[1][2]

The chapel is supported by the non-profit A.P. Reilly Foundation, which is funded by Mel Gibson. According to 2008 tax filings, the foundation’s assets, including property, total $42 million.[3]

Is it a girlfriend name Oksana or a religious rift prompted by growing fanaticism on the part of Mel Gibson which prompted Robyn's sudden divorce action? Gibson has praised his wife but he has also told press that she will be going to hell for being an Anglican. Now it looks like devout Mel can expect to join her.

The Catholic Church has renounced any ties to Mel Gibson's self fashioned Holy Family Catholic Church, a defacto excommunication, and now he is a soon to be divorced adulterer. Can things get any worse for Mel Gibson? Wait and see.

Mel Gibson has some serious mental problems. He claims to be a man of faith, yet he has been unfaithful to his wife, a poor father and a bad role model to everyone. All the money he has will never bring him piece of mind. I think his wife should have left him long ago. I wish her happiness, she deserves it for puting up with him.
