Melrose Place, 90210, Sons of Anarchy: TV Schedule September 8

It's a pretty big night for season premieres on September 8, 2009, with Melrose Place, 90201 and Sons of Anarchy starting.

Melrose Place airs at 9pm PST on the CW Network.

90210 airs at 8pm PST on the CW Network

Sons of Anarchy airs at 10pm PST on the FX network

Melrose Place is probably the most anticipated of the news shows starting today, as it is a remake of the popular original show, where everyone lived in the same apartment building and nothing was ever boring. The original Melrose Place aired in 1992 and lasted for most of the 90s.

During the course of the show’s history the housing boom would gain tremendous momentum, but 4616 Melrose Place was a rental, and once you moved in, you kept up with the Joneses by sleeping with your roommate, impregnating her boss, emerging from comas more deranged than you were before, stalking, developing amnesia, recovering from amnesia and blowing up buildings.

Apparently the new version hasn't changed much from the old, although the lighting is better, and perhaps even the acting. There are two returning characters however, Laura Leighton playing Sydney and Thomas Calabro playing Dr. Michael Mancini. Sydney is apparently already sleeping with Michael's son.

There is also the classic good girl / bad girl characters, and the story line of the first episode includes the good girl being offered $5,000 to spend the night with some rich guy.

90210 meanwhile is following on from the success of last season, and is apparently 'Bigger, Better, Bolder' than season one. There's a new resident, and Ethan has gone, and Annie, the main character is in a whole heap of trouble since her accident at the end of season one.

Zachary Ray Sherman will play Jasper, nephew of the guy that Annie hit in the season 1 finale. "I have a bad feeling in my gut, and I think he's going to take Annie for a little bit of a spin," Shenae Grimes said, adding "She thinks she finds love and that may screw her up a little more."

The tag line for the first episode is 'Man Hands, Enormous, Macking in the Sand, and West Beverly's very own JFK Jr.'.

Sons of Anarchy is not getting as much coverage as Melrose Place and 90210, but for the fans of season one, it is a hotly anticipated show.
