Predictable storyline, mediocre performances and weak direction totally lets down a film that had a lot of expectations slung to it, coming from one of the biggest banners of the Hindi Film Industry, Yash Raj Films. ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ though starts on a very promising note remains to be an average rom com that is just a once watch.

The film is a love triangle between Luv (Ali Zafar), his younger brother Kush (Imran Khan) and their common love interest Dimple Dixit (Katrina Kaif). Luv a playboy himself decides to get married after a failed relationship with a British born confused desi (as he calls her) Piyali Patel (Tara D’souza). Unable to find a suitable soul mate for himself, he asks his younger brother to search for a bride. The reason behind asking Kush to find a girl for his marriage is simple, they have common choices and Luv vouches for Kush’s choice. The film then sets on predictable journey where Imran meets series of wannabe brides but his quest ends when he encounters Dimple Dixit through a arrange marriage proposal. But Dimple and Kush have met each other before and know each other well.
