I know he's just died but lets be honest - he was an unpleasant man who made commercial music. Not very good music and the lyrics were always trite. I can't believe most people think he was in any way great, but maybe most are afaid to say so as everyone else is jumping blindly on the bandwagon adding fatuous praise and bad poetry.

I Can't believe you just said that!! Michael Jackson (King) was such a lovely, kind, human being. People took advantage of him and used him for ways to gain money all his life. Your comments make my sick. His music, his dance routines and his gentleness made him fantastic. So go crawl under the rock you came from. RIP Michael Jackson.

I think Blacks and people who came of age in the 1980's will remember Michael Jackson for breaking down the walls of segregation and exclusion at MTV. Before Michael Jackson's Thriller album MTV was exclusively a white music cable channel and no Black music videos were played there. But such was the tremendous demand for viewing the Michael Jackson Thriller video that MTV's business sense overwhelmed it's color-aroused discrimination and Thriller was shown on MTV.

Since then, we have learned that white youngsters and Black youngsters demand to see and hear music and videos produced by Black talent, and young people are no longer willing to have the music to which they listen segregated according to the skin color of the act that produced it. Michael Jackson integrated MTV.

M.icheal is gone 4ever.It is sad and real.He lived the kind of life he wanted.He was popular but never successful.His life was full of loneliness,melancholy,seif-hatred and morally bankrupt hence he never had successive marriage and molesting children.
