Michael Jackson Dies, Iconic Family Reactions to his Death

Update: Michael's family have started releasing statements about his death.
Tito Jackson:
The grief-stricken member of the Jackson Five and family revealed he regretted not speaking to Michael "for awhile."
Jermaine Jackson:
"My brother, the legendary king of pop, Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 25, at 2:26 P.M.," Jermaine told the media shortly before 6:30 P.M. After taking deep breath, he then continued stating, "It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until the results of the autopsy are known."
Appearing obviously distraught, Jermaine went on revealing, "The personal physician who was with him at the time attempted to resuscitate my brother. As did paramedics who transported him to the hospital. Upon arriving at the hospital at approximately 1:14 P.M., a team of doctors, including emergency physicians and cardiologists, attempted to resuscitate him for a period of one hour and they were unsuccessful."
He then ended his statement, saying "Our family requests that the media please respect our privacy during this tough time, and may Allah be with you Michael, always."
Michael Jackson, iconic figure in the entertainment industries from the 70s to present day, died of cardiac arrest after being admitted into UCLA Medical Center on Thursday, June 25, 2009. Jackson was the seventh child of the extremely talented Jackson family, including his sister, singer Janet Jackson, and several brothers with whom he formed the famously successful band, The Jackson 5.
Michael Joseph Jackson was born to Joseph Walter and Katherine Esther (nee Scruse) in Gary, Indiana. Joe and Katherine were working-class parents, with Joe working at a steel mill and performing in an R&B band, The Falcons, with his brother and Michael's uncle, Luther Jackson.
Michael was verbally and physically abused by his father throughout his childhood, about which he spoke for the first time in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, in 1993.
The seventh of nine children, Michael Jackson had eight siblings, all of whom have become successful singers, musicans, and/or instrumentalists in their own rights:
- Rebbie Jackson (Maureen Reillette "Rebbie" Brown)
- Jackie Jackson (Sigmund Esco)
- Tito Jackson (Toriano Adaryll)
- Jermaine Jackson (Jermaine LaJaune Jackson, now Muhammad Abdul-Aziz)

- Randy Jackson ("Steven Randall Jackson)
- Janet Jackson (Janet Damita Jo Jackson)
In 1966, Michael formed The Jackson 5ive, originally The Jackson Brothers, with four of his brothers: Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Jermaine was replaced by brother Randy in 1976. The Jackson brothers became wildly successful and one of the most popular pop music phenomena in the 70s, covering various genres ranging from R&B and soul to pop, disco, and Motown. The Jackson 5ive remained active until 1990, after which Michael and his brother Jermaine launched their solo careers.
Michael Jackson married another famous music personality in 1994, Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of rock and roll king Elvis Presley. They underwent a friendly divorce less than two years later.
Jackson is survived by his three children, the two eldest of whom he had with dermatologist nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe and the youngest whose mother's identity he refused to reveal:

- Prince Michael "Blanket" Jackson II

I grew up with Michael and his music. He was my generations ,"Elvis", and todaymy hesrt has a deep ache for a man that was a very tender hearted individual when in the latter part of his life was inhumanely disgraced, publically humiliated and eventually disrespected and forced to ruin by many, " so called " , professional figures from the courtrooms, media and journalism. Michael did more and gave more to thousands of people in desperate need than many of us ever will in our entire lifetime. That is how you thanked him... By creating a sexually deviatesynario and pinning it to his carrer. Well your discusting plot failed and the egg remains on your questionable abilities in your own professions. How many lives have you touched and how many peaple have you helped in charity expecting nothing in return? How many will mourn your passing? Look in the mirror it isn't,"jacko thats wacko", its you.

Thats so true he has touched so many lives and have helped so many. Life is a funny thing people thrive on media information and normally thats the only side they hear! Michael was a fantastic individual a excellent entertainer and had the heart of Gold and his life was shut down too too soon. AS for the thoughts of the narrow minded ppl that so believe the words of the so called parents of the molested children in question. Any parent that would settle out of court for money is the whackos when if what they felt was true could have had michael prosecuted and then sued him. But they took the money and ran cause that all they were after in the first place. They tryed to ruined a man of morals a man that would give you the shirt off his back a man that made a difference. Its so much ignorance into days society. if a lie is told it will make it to china before in the morning. But the truth stands still. The fact that Michael Jackson was enter in to the genesis world book of records for giving the most charitables monetary than anybody in the world. Never reach the media and stayed there. The fact that he has helped poor and needy children have never hit the media and stayed there the fact that he had a forgiving heart and was the most trusty person you could ever encounter never hit the media and stayed there. Well where michael is now he dont have to worry about the cruelty of todays society he is at home with the lord and he is at peace and his light is shining and he is at peace in the bossom of the lord and not worrying anymore about the lies and cruelty that was shown him and he did nobody wrong he loved ppl and all the selfish ppl and there ignorance took a toll on him, But that toll was broken on thursday June 25th 2009 all the holds they had are NOW GONE!!!!! You were and will always be an inspiration to musicians around the world. It does not matter your outer look as it matters your heart and Michael, you had a big one! In your pictures sadness reflected through your solemn brown eyes. I was really unnerved when your father spoke more highly of his "Ranch Record Label" than he did of his love for you. Some people do not have a clue as to how to love--you did and through the love you gave others, love will continue to pass through this world until the end of time. God Speed Michael! You made a huge impact in my life, alive and now deceased. I will treasure the moments spent listening to your music, knowing the love you put into each stanza and lyric. No one will ever replace you. I just wish you knew how important you were to the lives of so many people when you were alive. If so, possibly you would have believed you were loved for you, not just your money! I am so thankful you were alive in my generation. Love you always!!
