His discography showcases his mastery of a variety of genres and stylings; ranging from pop to rock to R&B, all of the, self-titled but undoubtedly well deserved, King of Pop’s albums were prolific and stand as major sources of influence to some of the most successful contemporary artists of the past 3 decades. "Musical career untarnished" - I don't think so! He only made 2 albums that were any good and the whole lot has been ruined by the decisions he made in his personal life.

It was never cool to like the music, although it attracted plenty of loners and misfits who imagined Michael Jackson was some kind of soul mate.

So True Robert, but I'll warn you some of his fans can be quite abusive on these boards if you dare to suggest Michael wasn't perfect. They can't deal with too much reality, much like the man himself.

I completelt disagree with Robert Engels.  Who stated that Michael only had 2 good albums, if you would acctually listen to the albums aside from just listening to the two you like, all his albums were good.  from Got To Be There all the way to Invincible, and this site had forgotten one album Blod On The Dancefloor: HIStory in the Mix, as well as The Ultimate Collection both releases has numerous brand new music to check out.  Michael has always been a great musician and preformer, no matter what his personal life was.

I agree with Chris Morgan. Michael had fantastic music from start to finish. Like it or not. Just because he he huge sellers and then the others fell short doesn't mean they were not good albums. The music scene is always on a constant change. All Michael's albums went multi-platinum never any flops. Only flopped considering the mega budget he spent producing them. Never the less good music though

What album, if any, did "We Are the World" come out in, or is it just a single?
