The king of pop and the composer of the best selling album “thriller”, is now no more to entertain the fans worldwide, now whether it is with his music or the moonwalk or the endless controversies which had become a part of his life and a source of constant gossip for his critics who anyway loved him. Off The Wall, Dangerous and Bad are other hit albums recorded by the legendary rock star who had undergone more plastic surgeries than you can think of, the obsession he had with his face and that metamorphosed into a passion when it came to music, which was his soul. He made his singing debut at the age of 11 as a member of the Jackson 5 and went solo in the year 1971.

The number of concerts and musical tours done by him are unprecedented and equally legendary had been their success. Of late, he has been indulging into a lot of charity by organising charitable concerts and shows to aid NGO working for the causes he believed in. The ‘Whacko Jacko’ as he was endearingly nicknamed by his fans, had won 13 grammy awards and many other for his singles and has a number of guiness book records in his name. his autobiography “The Moonwalk” was released in the year 1988 and was one of the New York Times Bestsellers. It said a lot about his childhood and early life.

He was the fifth among the 9 Jacksons and was born on 29th August 1958 in Gary Indiana and breathed his last on 25th June 2009 at his Holmby Hills home in Los Angeles. The sudden death of Michael Jackson has left his fans all over the world grieved and stunned and if you believe the statistics, such an outpour of fans as was seen at his home and the medical centre where he was taken for treatment, had occurred only twice before, at the demise of John O Connors and Elvis Presley. MJ had married Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie Presley in the year 1993 after his like was raked with child abuse accusations by Evan Chandler, father of 11 year old Jordan Chandler.

The marriage didn’t last long and in the year 1997, Jackson married his dermatologist nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe with whom he fathered three kids. His later life was filled with as many successful compositions as the number of scandals and plastic surgeries but amongst it all, he never lost or compromised his innate talent at producing world class music which will continue to delight the fans and aspiring musicians for generations to come. He may be not there in visage, but “the Gloved One” will always breathe through his music.
