Michael Jackson Memorial Tribute Concert in Vienna This September
Two Michael Jackson Memorial Tribute Concerts that were scheduled for late August 2009 in London's O2 Arena have been canceled; however, MJ lovers who are desire yet more tributes to the King of Pop need not worry. Jermaine Jackson is planning another Michael Jackson Tribute Concert in Vienna on September 26.
It is unclear why Jermaine Jackson has chosen Vienna as the site for the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert. Some critics think that the United States or London would have been more appropriate choices, but Jermaine is positive about his Michael Jackson Tribute Concert plans.
“I have invited many of the most acclaimed talents of our time,” Jermaine Jackson said on the website promoting the concert, “and many have already confirmed to perform in honor of my beloved brother… I want to make people aware of the humanitarian side of Michael. I want to show them how his true emphasis wasn’t music, or performing; it was improving the world.”
It is rumored that the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert in Vienna will last 3 hours and be televised worldwide. The line-up may include the likes of Madonna, U2, and Whitney Houston.
The London Michael Jackson Tribute Concerts to be held on August 29 and 30 were canceled because the promotes had organizational problems.
But the tribute plans have now been scrapped due to promoters AEG Live failing to finalise agreements for stars such as Justin Timberlake and Leona Lewis to appear, according to the Times.
