Michael Jackson's conversion to Islam came as a surprise to many of us. Some would have thought it would've been Barack Hussein Obama, with his Muslim-sounding name, to announce his conversion to "the religion of peace." Although some conspiracy theorists still cling to that hope, it's highly unlikely that any politician who voted twice for infanticide takes religion seriously.
Not that there is anything wrong with Atheism, Christianity, or Islam, or any religion or non-religion, as long as it doesn't intrude on other people's freedoms. I'm not sure if Michael Jackson will attempt to promote Islam. I could easily imagine his next album with a lot of good Middle-Eastern beats, more belly-dancers at his concerts, and a special song dedicated to Sharia Law or some other aspect of Islam.
He's likely to get criticized by the radicals & fundamentalists. Soon we'll hear about an Afghan Sheik denouncing Michael Jackson as a heretic trying to Westernize Islam, or some other ridiculous claim. If he decides to leave Islam, the cave-dwelling terrorists will surely send another video calling for the death of apostates & infidels.
In any case, I find it to be extremely entertaining news of Michael Jackson's conversion to Islam. Maybe other celebrities will follow, and it could turn into a trend. Only time will tell. As long as they're not stoning un-veiled women or blowing up churches, may God bless them.

Great! If you learn about Islam then you will do exactly what Michael did. It is a true religion and you will only understand it correctly if you search for the truth. It is a responsibility of every one of us to research all the religions before coming to conclusions. My conversion to Islam was a long journey. I always had confusion about Jesus being God and sometimes Son of God. Islam makes it very clear - there is only ONE GOD, and he alone should be worshipped. Adam, Ibrahim, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad and many more were all the true Prophets and Messengers of God.

Dear Brother, the conversion of Michael jackson into the islamic fold is his personal choice,and the reactions from diffrent sections of the people are also bound to happen some it can be in the extreme forms.However that doesnt keeps and unclear picture about the message of Islam. The first thing is God and Allah is not different. Islam declares the existence of One GOd for all mankind which is similar to hebrew and christian traditions only in arabic it is termed as ALLAH.The laws and mannerisms are gift of God for welfare and better living not for coercion or illtreatment.If any one in the name of religion are practicing wrong things they will have to face God's wrath. The quran and the sharia can be understood in better perspective if you read it with clear understanding.

Before we hear more stupid and unreasonable comments, I would challange any critic of Islam to go and get Holy Qur'an (the one translated by arab and not american or briton) and read it for themselves. You will be suprised. It will change your life for good.

I don't know why Michael Jackson converts to Islam? he was not a religious follower at all, so what will cause if he change to Islam, are he is going to change his life? Now if he is giving so importance to religion than he should not forget that all success today he has he got from Christian. Before he change he should know the value of religion either Christian or Islam? Did he have any knowledge of Bible or Quran? finally He change religion as he converted his sex from male to female?

He has some case against him in a court filed by some muslim shake. In order go get sympathy (his illusion is that muslims sympathises with fellow muslimes ....hehehe ) he tried this circus also. This has nothing to do with islam being great relegion or arabic is the greatest language in this world or sand culture is the true culture ..
Anyways..let the muslils welcome a child molestor welcome to their relegion. After all, by marrying ten and twelve years girls by the dozens , muslims people do exactly the same thing.

What makes you think Muslims do exactly the same thing? Obviously there's no wonder an "Israeli Agent" would think like that. But you should know a bit more about something before commenting on it. Islam prohibits sex before marriage. It is the only religion that ensures respect & security for female in a true sense. If a Muslim is doing wrong things, he is not following
Islam. Islam is a complete life system that gives logical & concrete solution to every possible situation human can face.

It is good that he converted to Islam to find peace in his soul. One of the people who attended his conversion ceremony was Cat Steven, the previous British singer who converted years ago. I think by befriended with Cat Steven, can truly guide him in Islam.

If you learn more about Islam, you will realize that it is a religious that make you feel calm and better in yourself. All the prohibition in the Islam such as sex before marriage, alcohol consumption, gambling and etc is to protect your health and morals. It is not a religious that like war or fight as you can see from CNN.
If someone think that Islam is the anti-christian religious, then you don't really know about Islam because you only know what peoples tells you...
What I can see is, Michael Jackson become a muslim is not because he hate Christian, but he find something that change his perspective in Islam and also that can change his behavior.

If people realise what is Islam, they would do exactly what whacko jacko has done.
The universe belongs to the one true god Allah. Only his religion is acceptable to him in his kingdom. There awaits a life hereafter which is eternal. The abode in the hereafter should be the matter of prime concern. Success or failure in this world is an immaterial aspect. If one leads the life in this world according to the will of Allah, he would enter the everlasting life of paradise, where all his desires are quenched. But one who attains the displeasure of Allah would enter the everlasting life of hellfire.
Moreover the way of life of Islam is beautiful, blessed and totally peaceful; after all it is the religion devised by the creator of the universe. The one who embraces Islam all his previous sin will be forgiven and he gets an opportunity to start a new life with the mercy and blessings of Allah.
Therefore, folks, better late than never, get convinced and embrace the only true religion religion of Islam from the one true god Allah as soon as possible. May Allah guide all of us.

religion is his private matter.but surely there is a case against him by a shiakh and also allegedly he has been involved in child molesting.before celebrating his conversion we muslims must keep in in mind that bein g a muslim will make him more avccountable for his deeds.already there is no dearth of hypocrites in the world of islam.more bad ppl will only lodge more bad name to islam.

Learn Islam, read and understand the holly Quran and Sunnah then comment on Islam. Most importantly learn your religion first and then compare that with Islam, then I believe you will also convert to Islam as did millions of scholars before.

Can you give me a simple statistics about how many Jews / Christians converted to Christianity/ Jew religion, I think none. then why do you make these kind of comments about a new convert to Islam. If your religion has as much strength as Islam so as to convert millions of non believers to Islam , please set some examples, then say something.

Islam do not enforce its laws to the non-muslims, so do not worry about stoning un-veiled women. and BTW islam do not say to stone a un-veiled women.
Again islam do not say to blow up churches. i think you wanted to say islam is very ruthless. anyway did you ever wondered why there are stills MILLIONS OF non-muslims in the arab world. and did you ever qestioned the native arab jews in isreal what they feel life now and bofore the emerging of isreal????

i never said i had a problem with Islam. i have a problem with Islamic Radicals who want to enforce their beliefs on others, which rarely happens in "The West" but is causing trouble for Christians and other minorities in the Mid-East.
i could say the same about Christian Radicals 500 years ago, but it seems that most Christians have matured enough not to be a threat to other religions, although there may be a few left in "The Bible Belt" they have little power.
