I went to Trafalgar Square in London today to find that one section of wall of the National Gallery in London had been turned into a shrine to the late Michael Jackson.
Apparantly laste last night Trafalgar Square was 'flashmobbed' by grieving fans who decided to leave their own tribute to the 'King of Pop'
I don't think the Council were too sympathetic though and these may be the only pics you'll ever see of this wall.

The morning after fans descended on Trafalgar Square in London to pay tribute to Michael Jackson, one wall of the National Gallery had been used as a giant book of condolence for them to leave their personal messages of grief.

I was there when they started writing on the wall. The police came and took the pens but people had more and kept writing. I think people were willing to get arrested. MJ was a great man, a legend.

I saw this happening, but couldnt locate a police officer. The graffiti writing went on for many hours on Saturday as I passed the wall at 7:00pm and then again at 12:00 and the criminals (yes that's what graffiti is) were still writting. These people should have been arrested and convicted. Anyone that has written their name should be traced and convicted, and made to pay for the removal.

MJ died. Does that mean people can berak the law? Send a cleaning bill to the MJ estate.
Many people that were writing were tourists!

I like the little trickle of wee underneath, where someone has also relieved themselves in tribute to great pop artist. Nice.

I wrote a message on the wall on the Friday, the day after it had spread to the other side of the wall. Great testament to how much MJ has spoken to people.
People later all wrote on paper etc, to prevent any further damage.
