Michael Jackson's funeral is now to take place on August 31st, and not on his 51st birthday which would fall on August 29th. The family has made a statement saying they need to 'get things in order' before Michael can be laid to rest, even though the singer has been dead almost two months now.

He is to be buried on the Holly Terrace at the Glendale Forest Lawn's Mausoleum, which is the same resting place as other celebrities such as Nat King Cole, Dean Martin and Clark Gable. It is a private cemetery and is closed to the public. Forest Lawn is located about 8 miles north of Los Angeles.

Michael Jackson is to be buried in a private ceremony, restricted to family and close friends only. The Jackson brothers will once again act as pallbearers, carrying Michael's golden casket from the hearse to the mausoleum.

Meanwhile, Dr. Conrad Murray is to be charged with manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, according to Fox News.
