Michelle Wie, a 19-year-old professional golfer, started a blog on September 10 that has quickly become very popular. Wie`s blog is called Black Flamingo and she describes it as `a mindless blog about life and stuff that doesn`t quite fit in`.

When Michelle Wie was only 10, she became the youngest player in the USGA championship and later was the youngest to qualift for an LPGA tour evemt. You would think that so young a professional golfer would have very little to them besides - well, golf. Not so.

Michelle Wie has a strong interest in art and posts her work up on the blog. Wie writes:

I have all of a sudden been obsessed with drawing, painting, spray painting, and anything to do with diy.

Michelle Wie is also interested in classical asian art, particularly calligraphy.

However, her first blog post entitled `wanna show some skin` may have created the impression that her blog would routinely show off the young golfer`s scantily clad figure. Though the post did include pics of Wie in a leatherette dress she had made, the September 10 post was mostly a step-by-step guide to making it.

Needless to say, the first post garnered a significant number of page views. Fortunately or unfortunately, Michelle has continued to post jokes, silly pictures of Wie in a dollar-store cat mask, paintings and other projects.

This blog is definately worth a look. Golfers are people too, who knew!
