Mickey Rourke, the acclaimed star of Darren Aronofsky's 'The Wrestler', is rumoured to be in talks to join the cast of Iron Man 2.

Rourke would portray a villain: either the character of the "Crimson Dynamo" or "Whiplash", depending on which Hollywood gossip source you're willing to believe.

Although details of the script for the Justin Theroux-penned sequel are scant, The Hollywood Reporter says word is Rourke would play a Russian heavy named Ivan who becomes Whiplash. Variety, however, contends the villain goes by the moniker the Crimson Dynamo – and the Internet fanboys appear to agree.
