Miley Cyrus and Last Song Co-Star Liam Hemsworth Have Broken Up

They met on the set of the film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel The Last Song, and although it may have seemed like a match made in young Hollywood heaven, the love did not last and Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are both back on the market.

While Miley's rep had no comment about the split, Liam's rep confirmed to US Weekly that the couple had parted ways.

There was talk when the two of them got together that Liam was just using Miley to break into the business, but Miley spoke to Ellen DeGeneres earlier this March and said Liam came into her life at just the right time.

"But I met him, and he opened the door for me, and I was like, I have been in L.A. for three years and I don't think any guy has actually opened the door for me," she went on. "It wasn't that he wanted the job. That's just who he is. I was like, 'Wow, that is super-impressive.' I actually turned to the director and said, 'He's got the job.' He's hot and he opened the door. Excellent."

In June the couple denied rumors that they had broken up, with Miley saying their relationship was stronger than ever and that he had an amazing relationship with her family.

Seems as if all those relationships have now come to an end.
