Miley Cyrus' charitable sweet 16 bash
For the tidy sum of $232 "Hannah Montana" fans can celebrate the 16th birthday of the show's star, Miley Cyrus, and give to charity at the same time. Miley announced today that she will celebrate her 16th birthday with a private party to be held at Disneyland. The amusement park will be closed to the public on October 5, 2008. The only "guests" will be fans willing to pay $232 per person to attend. All proceeds will benefit the charity Youth Services America.
Miley, who will also belt out some songs, told "Entertainment Tonight:" “I love roller coasters so this is my ultimate birthday.”
She said the party will be “totally awesome."
The ’Miley’s Sweet 16 — Share the Celebration’ bash will benefit ’Youth Service America’, which helps improve the lives of young Americans aged five to 25.
Explaining the decision to turn her celebrations into a fund-raiser, Miley said: "There's only one world and we got to take care of it."
You have to wonder how many tweens can afford $232 per ticket to attend. Expect a mass slaughter of piggy banks across America as kids bargain with their parents to attend the festivities. Tickets go on sale at August 30.

How weird that Steve Carrel, JLH and Cindy Crawford were there, unless they brought their kids, nieces or nephews or something. Otherwise, it's just ODD! I did some searches and found this nice professional-looking highlights video: http://newsinfusion.com/video_details.php?videoId=233. More photos, too!
