Miley Cyrus Faces Class-Action Lawsuit Over 'Slant Eyes Photo'
Miley Cyrus should start avoiding cameras, they just keep getting her in to trouble. First some racey MySpace photos of the starlet were circulated online, then there was the infamous Annie Liebowitz Vanity Fair cover, and now her most recent "silly" slant eyed photos have been dubbed racist and landed Cyrus in court.
Lucie J. Kim has filed a class action lawsuit in a Los Angeles court asking for compensation from the multi-billion dollar girl for what she claims is a civil rights violation. She has filed her lawsuit on behalf of the entire East Asian population in Los Angeles and is asking for $1 million in compensation, or $4,000 per eligible complainant.
According to Lucie J. Kim, she and her unwitting coplaintiffs—about 1 million in all, theoretically—are each entitled to $4,000 in damages.Cyrus "knew or should have known that her image would be publicly disseminated via the media, which Cyrus knew focused on her private life, specifically TMZ," states the suit filed Wednesday in L.A. Superior Court and obtained by "specifically TMZ."
The 16-year-old Hannah Montana star has twice attempted to alleviate the situation via her blog, first by explaining that she was "simply making a goofy face" and again by literally apologizing.
"I really wanted to stress how sorry I am if the photo of me with my friends offended anyone," she wrote Monday.

Two wrongs don't make a right Miley did something stupid but if this becomes a standard for couet action every rap artist and many oters would be liable for what they said, sexist, racist, just stupid. This is too much like suppressing speech, even dumb speech.

I am sooooooooo sick of this little girl thinking she can do as she pleases and get away with it. She makes enough money to understand that she is now in total view of the public that MADE her rich and famous in the first place and therefore under a microscope!
Ha! WHAT a role model for our children.....NOMORE hannah montana for our little girls! Why don't we nominate Kelly Osbourne for role model at least she does not fake who she really is!!!!!!!!!!!!
