Just like rapper Lil' Wayne, teen pop star Miley Cyrus is not dead. Just as a rumor about the death of Lil' Wayne proved to be false, so too is a new piece of Internet gossip claiming the Hannah Montana star died in a horrific car accident.

A fake Yahoo! news story claiming that Cyrus was hit by a large truck early Friday morning has been circulating around the net. You can view the poorly constructed fake news story here. By all accounts, Cyrus is fine. 

Rumors about dead pop stars are hardly something new. In 1966, stories circulated that Paul McCartney of the Beatles had died and been replaced by an impostor. According to urban legend, the surviving Beatles dropped subtle clues in their music about Paul's death.

As anyone who has been in a Starbucks in the last two years can attest, Sir Paul is alive and kicking at the age of 66.
