Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana, Destiny Hope Cyrus, that underage chick who moonlighted as a pole dancer at the VMAs, or whatever you may call her has officially left the twitterverse. And the twitterverse is apparently forlorn without their Miley, #Mileycomeback is the top trending topic on the site. But her rationale is, like, totally understandable: she dumped her Twitter account and hence her millions of followers for a boy; the girl's got her priorities set.

So here's the deal, last night @MileyCyrus tweeted her last tweet saying that her alleged BF (I'm trying to stay hip to the lingo, sorry), Liam Hemsworth, doesn't have a Twitter and frankly doesn't think she should have one either. Right on Liam, atta boy, might as well just put an end to women's suffrage while you're at it.

"She's just bein' Miley," ever the role model for all those adoring tween fans. Hm, brings to mind some of those social science buzz words I peppered into just about everything back in University: gender socialization, patriarchal society, biological determinism (google it). Little Miss Cyrus epitomizes what every feminist despises (oh yeah, I can rhyme too), a non-independent woman. So from here on in Miles, I, The Truemorist, revoke your standing as one of "all the women who independent", that means no more "throw[ing]  your hands up at me," and by me I mean BeyoncĂ© and those other two chicks from Destiny's Child.

So c'est la vie, I guess somehow I will have to find a way to cope with the loss of my daily, no longer secret, updates on Miley. I suppose I can always satisfy my shameless hunger for tween culture with Miley's fellow Disney clones @ddlovato or @selenagomez, but nothing is better than the original. So please, #Mileycomeback, otherwise I'll lose a lot of lampoonable, I mean, valuable material to write about.

Can somebody talk Brittney Spears and Shaq into quitting Twitter, please?

If her boyfriend actually convinced her to delete her twitter account, that is really sad / scary
