Mills Nabs A Cool $48.6 Mill from McCartney

I don't know if celebrity divorce settlements truly qualify as news, but given the inordinate amount of attention that has been paid to the Mills-McCartney split, I suppose this $48 million dollar figure is intended to provide some kind of denouement to an incredibly volatile marital narrative.

Paul McCartney's divorce from Heather Mills was settled Monday for $48.6 million.

A document released by the Family Court said the judge awarded Mills a lump sum of $33 million plus the assets she currently holds worth $15.6 million.

"I'm so, so happy with this," Mills told reporters following the closed hearing.
