Mini-Me, Verne Troyer's Ex Yvette Monet Files Restraining Order
Verne Troyer, quite possibly better known as Mini-Me of Austin Powers fame, had a restraining order filed against him by his ex-girlfriend Yvette Monet. Monet was granted the restraining order on October 1, 2009 claiming Troyer was contacting her to the point where a restraining order was necessary.
"I have moved on, [but] he keeps emailing me, calling me and texting me awful messages like...'I hope God is with you...' Calling me names like hooker," Monet wrote in a court declaration obtained by RadarOnline. "He will not stop. I've asked him more than 10 times to leave me alone...He said that he won't stop because he doesn't want me to see anyone else...I'm scared."
Monet, a former beauty queen and spokes model for Merle Norman Cosmetics, claims that she and Troyer broke-up a few months back and she fears for her life, believing that Mini-Me has a gun.
In an interview with E! News, Troyer's attorney Ed McPherson quipped, "She's terrified of this guy who's 2 feet 8 inches tall?" before stating that the allegations are frivolous and, furthermore, that Troyer's legal team "look[s] forward to responding to these allegations in court."
The restraining order was filed without Troyer's notice and remains valid through December 2, 2009.
