Mischa Barton Left Red Faced After Both Credit Cards Declined at Grocery Store

Things haven't been going too well for Mischa Barton lately; with her acting career failing and her weight gain and loss the subject of tabloid speculation, she has been having a rough time.

On Monday night, things got worse when Mischa Barton went grocery shopping at Whole Foods on Fairfax and Crescent Heights in Los Angeles with a friend and she must have been hungry because she started eating a cooked pasta dish in the line. However, when she got to the front of the line and it was time to pay the cashier, Mischa handed over her credit card and it was declined.

Then she handed over her other credit card and that was declined as well.

She began to search her purse for some cash, but she came up empty handed. Mischa's friend luckily had his wallet and he paid for the groceries. Mischa Barton looked red faced according to RadarOnline as she made her way out to the parking lot and the waiting paparazzi.

Poor Mischa looked upset and ducked her head.

It was just a few short years ago that Mischa Barton was on one of the most popular shows on TV, The O.C, but after her character was killed off, her movie career did not take off in the way that she hoped. She did a short stint on Ashton Kutcher's The Beautiful Life but that was canceled after just a few episodes.

give her a break. Maybe she doesn't get how credit cards work (you know.. that it's borrowed money, the amount on each card is finite, etc) The poor fool probably took the cards to staples or something to get a technician to fix them.
