Mohammed has become the most popular name for baby boys in London, England, according to figures published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). It includes all the various spellings of the name, such as Muhammad, Mohammad, Mohamed and Muhammed. The Islamic name is now more than twice as common in London as the second most popular name, Daniel. Mohammed is also the most common boys' name in the West Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber, as well as the North West.
Other European cities are also showing signs of a growing Muslim influence. Mohammed has overtaken traditional European names as the most popular baby name in Brussels, Copenhagen, Oslo and Amsterdam. According to the Telegraph, Mohammed is the most common male name in the world. 15 million people around the globe carry the name.
This is the first year ONS has revealed regional data regarding name use in the United Kingdom. Previously, only national data has been available. The ONS also stated that the Muslim population is growing ten times faster than the rest of the U.K. population. 2.4 million Brits identify themselves as Muslim, 42.6 million as Christian.
Murtaza Shibli of the Muslim Council of Britain said he was not surprised to find Mohammed had become the most popular boys name in parts of the country.
"People choose it because of their love of the prophet Mohammed, and they believe the name will bring happiness and abundance," he said.
"Also because of its meaning - the praised one. Also there is a belief that if you do name your children Mohammed they will follow the good example of the prophet.

As a muslim revert I am happy to hear this. The religion of Islam is growing rapidly. I hope good people will not be alarmed, is there really so much difference between Islam and Christianity ? Arguably there are more differences between the denominations within Christianity than there are between traditional mainstream Christians and Sonny Muslims

European liberalism is going to turn Europe into a war zone very soon. Muslims are not integrating into European societies. Islam is in direct conflict with Christianity and Western values.

For one thing killing of another is forbidden in religion (Christiantiy) and secular law of the Western world. Islamic honor killing of own family members is still practiced today even in 'moderate' Islamic state. How's is that for directly conflict? Moslims do not respect man-made laws. They goals to kill or convert infidels and run the country with Sharia law (in their opinion the only true law).

What about when Jesus said you should be willing to pick up your sword in the way of Christianity? If you listen to christian preachers they say that slaying is necessary for the servival of the religion.
Honor killings are very, very few, and totally against Islam, what of Christians who have killed their daughters for marrying a non-christian or a black or asian man?
The majority of Muslims do respect man made laws if you are being fair, a few do not as their are many Christians and others who do not. Not abiding by the countrys laws is not the manopoly of the Muslims.
I am a Muslim and my goal is to live a peaceful and good life not kill or convert anyone, as I believe if anyone is lead to Islam they will be lead by Allah. It is the job of Muslims to help and guide correctly those who Allah has directed.
Muslims do not want to run the country by Shari'a, although an interesting factor that cant be denied is the amount of non-muslims who are opting to use Shari'a in their family disputes.
One question I have for you is, the man made laws you speak of, are they really man made?
The origin of all English Legal legislation either comes from the church or Kings of the old time, as the church were the agents of God and the kings claimed to be chosen ones of God, draw your own conclusions as to where the laws came from originally.

The ten commandments are part of Islam as Moses is a prophet in Islam. An eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth is part of Christianity and Islam. What man made laws are you refering to ? Infidel, as mentioned in the Quran refers to the pagans of Mekka. People get killed in war, the quran orders the followers to make peace as soon as possible. As a Christian do you want Muslims to be Christian too ?

The man made law is the statues and legislations that governs cities and countries and it's citizens. When non-muslims immigrate to another country to make a better life for themselves, they don't bring their own laws with them. They abide by the laws of the new home country. Regarding Hammurabi's code of equitible retaliation, 'an eye for an eye...' Yes it is in the bible but Jesus says instead of demanding 'an eye for an eye..' we all should learn forgiveness and 'turn the other cheek'.(Matthew 5:38-39) Isalm is going to be the end of Europe as we all know it. “And KILL them (the unbelievers) wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.” (Sura 2, verse 191).

The United States isn't ruled by the bible my friend nor do we profess it to be, it is rule by man-made laws. Therefore your accussation is baseless. And no matter how you think about the death penalty, it will NEVER be as repugnant as a muslim straping on a bomb and killing indiscriminately in the name of Allah so he can go to heaven and collect his 72 virgins. In Christianity's heaven is a land of peace, serenity and happiness. In Islam heaven is a whorehouse.

You are right it is ruled by idiots mostly, a suicide bomber does not kill in the name of Allah as Allah never asked him to do that.
Sucicide bombers are not only Muslims, and they cant be called Muslims either.
Did you know that in Islam it is taught that one of the first people to enter Hell is a Martar who died for recognition of his fellow people, to be called a great man etc
The 72 virgins you speak of are for the most pious of people, so trust me they will not be going to the suicide bombers as their sin is so great.
In Islam heaven is not a whorehouse, you obviously have not read even a page of the Qur'an when it speaks of heaven, heaven is beyond human comprehension, its beauty is boundless, there is nothing bad in heaven, so if Allah decides to grant a man 72 wives then it will not be sinful,

You use the rules of religion that are convenient for you and disregard the rest. As a matter of curiosity, what denomination of Christian are you ? Do you know the differences between the denominations within Islam ? Sex within marriage is not evil and to claim so is a sign of repression !

I never used any rules of religion nor did I endorsed Christianity, why would I, I'm not a Christian. You wrote is there much differnence between Islam and Christianity? I was poinint out the differences that I know of.

It is true that immigrants of muslim faith import their culture to their new countries of residence, but that is also true of the italians, mexicans e.t.c in the USA. What people don't seem to understand is the distinction between some cultures and the religion of islam. Becoz honour killings occur in muslim countries it does not mean that islam condones the killing. That is as absurd as saying that becoz (some) catholic priests molest young kids then cristianity accepts sexual abuse. Look past ignorance and see people (jews, muslims & xtians) who worship the same one and only God.

God-lover. You make a good point and I do try to see individuals and not sterotype people into groups. And I cannot speak intelligently about the Isalmic culture other than what I've read. But when a group of people practices an action over-and-over again you have to believe something is up when the ideas they are believing. Is wrong if a group of people (a neighborhood, a city, a nation) to enjoy their culture and living stanadards and to protect those beliefs for posterity? Why are Muslims immigrating to the west? Is it to enjoy the sucess that was built by Christianity or destory with Isalm--the very ideas that has produced the majority of the world's failed state. Yes we all worship god(s) in different ways and religion in this aspect is the salvation of man but each religion is also an idea. An idea of how people should live and die. An idea like slavery, bigotry and Nazism.

Let's make this clear...this is not a racial issue. Islam is not a race..stop comparing Islam to the Chinese, African-American etc. Islam is an idea and it spans all races. Just a curiosity, Chinese gave us the railroad and the African-American contributions to the U.S. is countless...what has Islam contributed to the U.S.?
