The Mona Lisa Project: Exposé or Witch Hunt?
The Mona Lisa Project sounds like something artistic or creative, but in fact it is a highly political movement to expose what it considers to be unethical behavior in the pro-choice movement. Decidedly pro-life in its perspective the Mona Lisa Project secretly tapes Planned Parenthood workers as they discuss options with clients.
During these discussions, which are staged by Mona Lisa Project activists, the Planned Parenthood workers allegedly fail in their duty to uphold various laws designed to protect minors. Specifically, the Mona Lisa Project claims it has video taped evidence that Planned Parenthood conceals statutory rape. The goal of the project is to see Planned Parenthood the organization charged for these violations.
The Mona Lisa Project is a rather creative attempt to stifle the work Planned Parenthood does. It takes an innovative approach at containing abortion services by attacking providers like Planned Parenthood on a totally different front. Like it or not, pro-choice or pro-life, if the Mona Lisa Project can make its evidence stick, they just may have a case.
Is the Mona Lisa Project an exposé of corruption within the pro-choice movement? Or is it a creative witch hunt designed to cripple the number one abortion service provider in the United States? While the Mona Lisa project will likely face difficulties in authenticating their tapes to the satisfaction of the courts it is an interesting divide and conquer approach to fighting abortion in the US.

What do you think of the work being done by the Mona Lisa Project? Have your say.
The Mona Lisa Project videos document Planned Parenthood's willingness to repeatedly violate mandatory reporting laws for statutory rape that protect children.
Our series of hidden camera investigations, collected by a team led by Lila Rose in summer 2008, provide the public the inside story about the abortion industry and its abuses across the nation. Despite a consistent pattern of lawlessness and abuse, Planned Parenthood receives over $320 million from taxpayers each year. The tax-exempt "nonprofit" netted $100 million in net income last year including revenue of over $120 million directly from performing over 305,000 abortions.

There should be no secrets about what the taxpayer-supported Planned Parenthood does with its clients.
Taping surreptitiously may not be "nice", but, if the information about how clients are treated is not made available, then this is needed and OK.
