Shivaratri celebrations are among the religious festivities that draw millions and millions of Indians to the Shiva temples. The beautiful Coastal City of Vizag with golden sands and mighty blue ocean on the one side and green capped hills on the other side became the venue for grand Shivaratri celebrations that just concluded. More than 10 million small Shivalingas rolled into a mighty one on the beach road opposite Kali temple drew thousands and thousands of ardent devotees who offered reverential prayers on the holy day. Among those who witnessed the prayers to the mighty Shivalinga are many thousands of tourists from other parts of India with a sprinkling of foreign tourists too. 

Religion in India is a uniting factor in these divided times.
