Morris: A Life With Bells
Morris dancing is as English as English can be and the English laugh at it and those that perform these ancient folk dances but now it could be become a worldwide success as a mockumentary film 'Morris: A life With Bells' looks set to hit the big screen.
Initially it failed to get any distribution film and so went on a tour of English village halls. The audiences have comprised of some of those that the film gently mocks - Morris Dancers - and they loved it as has everyone else that's seen this typical British slow boiler to possibly Vesuvius hot film.
There's now an internet campaign to get this film world wide distribution and if sucessful this could become as big as Billy Elliot, Calendar Girls or The Full Monty.
JUST weeks after doom-mongers sounded the death-knell for Morris dancing it is set to make it big in a movie.Morris: A Life With Bells On is being hailed as the next feel-good British blockbuster, following in the clog-steps of Billy Elliot, Calendar Girls and The Full Monty.
The only problem is that the low-budget flick on the uniquely British tradition is not being shown in cinemas because distributors don’t want to back it.
