Morrissey Compares Norway Massacre to KFC, McDonalds

During a concert in Warsaw, pop icon and former Smiths frontman Morrissey couldn't resist using the Norway terror attacks to promote veganism.

Morrissey said, "We all live in a murderous world, as the events in Norway have shown, with 97[sic] dead. Though that is nothing compared to what happens in McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried shit every day.”

Fans were not amused. Aside from being a nonsensical comparison, they were angry that he would hijack the anger and grief over the attacks in Oslo and Utoya to take a swipe at fast food.

At least Morrissey took a break from "non-racist" racist comments such as "I don't hate Pakistanis, but I dislike them immensely" and describing Chinese people as "a subspecies". Controversy is not the same as relevance.
