Morrissey tattoo ad finished

Going through a Morrissey phase is probably fairly common for sensitive boys and girls with a penchant for melancholy and an appreciation of wit.

It's become somewhat of a tradition for the truly Morrissey-obsessed to ink their fandom for all eternity. Hence, the ubiquitous Morrissey tattoo.

The recently finished advert for the pope of mope's forthcoming greatest hits album features some artful examples.

What do you think? Are they singing their life or still ill?

The Morrissey fan advert for his Greatest Hits album has been completed and is ready to air ahead of its release on February 11.

As previously reported, the Mozzfather asked his faithful followers to send in photographs of their Morrissey tattoos for inclusion in the promotional ad.

The advert has been edited and is now streaming on YouTube. Another version of the advert, featuring images that didn’t make the final cut, will be shown on Mozza’s Myspace page next week.

I had always dreamed of having Morrissey's autograph tattooed on my person. Finally the day before his Chicago Aragon show in 06 I bumped into him downtown... and by bumped into him I mean stalked the streets for any sight of him. Finally after 3 hours of vigilance and prayer he appeared. He was very nice and took a fantastic photo with me.

I took this photo of artist Jason Arnold's tattoo at his art opening last year. I knew he was into Morrissey but was surprised at the devotion of getting inked!
