Movie: 'Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' Trailer

Twentieth Century Fox is out with a trailer for “Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter,” a new film based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s 2010 novel of the same name.

TIME magazine writes, “When he’s elected president, he leads the charge into the Civil War as a means of averting a systematic takeover of America by power-hungry vampire hordes. This is goofy, glorious stuff.” TIME calls it “a promising first glimpse of the Civil War as Vampire Apocalypse.”

Goofy or not, it’s burning up the web, currently clocking in at #4 on Google Trends, perhaps attributable, in part, to the nation’s ongoing fascination with vampires (see: HBO’s “True Blood,” the Twilight series).

The film is set to be released this summer and is directed by Timur Bekmambetov, produced by Tim Burton and features Benjamin Walker as Abraham Lincoln.
