"Mr. Popeck" Retires after 48 years of sevice

After 48 years of service in Batavia as a volenteer, historian, and police chief, B. Popeck retired.  He will have a street named in his honor, and always will be considered on of the great citizens of Batavia, Il.  He was also an assistant to Mayor Schielke.
