The Christian community gathered in large numbers at the Sacred Heart Church near St Clare’s School, here, to celebrate the arrival of Christmas celebrations. The devotees sang in praise of Jesus Christ on the occasion. The carols reverberated in the church and converted the atmosphere into a spiritual one.
Pastor Peter Rawat praised the coming of Christ and said that the greatest message given by the Lord was of peace and love, which all devotees ought to practice thoroughly.
The carols were devoted to Mother Mary and Jesus Christ.
The carol singers then went to various places in the town to houses of the Christian community and prayed for all and sang carols. The team then went to the house of eminent actor Victor Bannerjee at Lal Tibba and then to St Peter’s Church which is two hundred years old.
