My Name Is Earl and I am canceled. NBC announced that it will not renew the sitcom that stars Jason Lee.

Co-Star Ethan Suplee confirmed the cancellation via Twitter

Just got the call that My Name Is Earl has been canceled. They sure did take their time with that decision or rather informing us of it.

Technically, the cancellation may not mark the end of the show. Like another former NBC Thursday night comedy Scrubs, My Name is Earl could jump to another network.

NBC also announced that Medium will not be returning to the network.

It's weird, there was so much hype for the show just a year or so ago...

This kills me.  NBC only has a four shows worth watching and they just cancelled one of them. I'm sorry people didn't tune in for it.  I'm sad to see it end.

My Name Is Earl is one of my favorite TV shows. One of the few I'd actually set a weekly time to watch. Waiting to hear if it gets a new home will be like a child doing a potty dance.

In my opinion this was the best show on T.V., and I sure hope another network picks it up. There is so little worth watching on network T.V. these days, I guess this is why they are fading away.

Here is a story that suggests that My Name is Earl may get picked up by TBS.

What??? I mean what??? I just finished the season finale and it might be the series finale???

Why would you shoot on of your best horses in the face like that? Without this show, I won't be wasting anytime on NBC.

My Name is Earl is T.V. gold, son! I dare you to name a show done half as well as this one.

Arghhh! I'm still angry and upset just thinking about it.

If you needed any evidence as to why NBC is number 4 in the ranking of the 4 networks, this is it. My Name is Earl is one of the best sitcoms ever. The cast is superb and the story lines are great. Only a fool would cancel this show, especially when it is compared to Parks and Recreation and Kath and Kim. NBC only has 3 unique or clever shows, Earl, The Office, and Friday Night Lights, and now they choose to follow the pack and probably cancel a good show to make room for another reality show or "Deal or no Deal" type piece of crap.Surely some other network will pick this show up. This just assures NBC will stay at the bottom even longer.

FOX, ABC, CBS:  Please pick up Earl!  I love this show.  NBC is run by idiots.  They let Scrubs go--after moving it constantly making it hard for fans to find--but ABC was smart enough to pick it up last year.  They did the same thing with Medium which has just been picked up by CBS.  NBC doesn't want viewers who are loyal, they just like to try new shows that are painful to watch like Kath & Kim and then cut shows which have been very successful like Scrubs.  So, please, one of the networks in the top three, pick up Earl!

(NBC is not in the top 3 for dumb moves like this and they just don't get it!)

They cancelled it for Parks & Recreation? Are you kidding me? That show doesn't even get my attention in the 3 minutes it's on my DVR after Earl records. I can't believe they cancelled this show. It was so funny and there is nothing else like it on TV. Besides, with the season finale, we'll not know who Earl Jr.'s dad is. It's not Crabman..... why can't they at least give them a Series Finale. Come on NBC! Have some respect for the fans you did have for this show!

Also, where is Medium going????

Maybe they should cancel law and order next if they want to be a network with nothing worth watching.

Good;  now that Earl's gone I've had an epiphany.  That's the final push I needed to delete all the network channels from my favorite's list.  Maybe I'll be a better person.

hey this is not fair. there will never be another show that compares to earl!!!!!!!!!! this reminds me of the Friends tragedy all over again. and dang it. who is earl junior's daddy?  guess we'll never know.  long live earl. you'll be in our hearts forever

I can't believe this! Even if the audience level was going down, it wasn't enough of a reason for this show to be cancelled, because the second part of Dodge's dad could be hyped and could also bring that audience level back up!

This is surely NBC's dumbest move ever!

I guyess if the show was called my name is Obama and was about a Muslim it would still be on.
