My Thoughts On Susan Boyle Losing Britain's Got Talent
As I'm sure we all know by now, Susan Boyle shockingly lost to the dance group Diversity on the final episode of the TV talent show Britain's Got Talent. She was the clear odds-on favorite to win the whole thing early on, and the news of her second place finish was a total bombshell which not only shocked the entire world but was also so devastating to Susan that she ended up in the hospital for over a week. So why did this happen?
Here's my take - The media was so obsessed with putting out as much coverage on Susan Boyle as they could just to make a few bucks, reporting on some of the most mundane things ever, that they ran her into the ground. Let's face it - No one wants to hear about what some middle-aged woman bought today at the mall or read an interview about her cat. But these are the types of stories that ran day in and day out, and I wouldn't be surprised if all of this attention turned people off completely, thus resulting in her short-coming in the final round of voting. Ironic, isn't it? The death blow to Susan Boyle's amazing rise in popularity was also the very thing that made her a star in the first place: the news media.
Oh, and just in case you're the only person on the face of the Earth that doesn't know who Susan Boyle is and have no idea what I'm going on about, here's a link to her blog for you to read and get caught up with the rest of the world: Susan Boyle.

I agree with you Brother... This is very unfortunate. The Media is to blame, not only in Susan's case, but in many other issues you find that they are not proffessional anymore!

How does one determine professional. It is cleary a dog eat dog buisiness going on a talent show. Susan needs to just get over herself and back to normal as fast as she can. Yes she has a great voice and so do many other undiscovered people,at least she got recognition for her singing and a glance at fame for what it is! in most cases shallow and hollow.
