Nagging by text. Txt nagging? Nggng? Wow. We all know that kids are given mobile phones as a Trojan-Horse gift: cool new toy that parents will then use to spy on you. However, that was bearable to all the tweens out there... until parents learned how to text!

Kids, don't even think about hiding out on Twitter, since your parents already know about it. Maybe use Utterli, or some other service that nobody's heard of.

Some parents apparently send their kids one-worders such as "Update." To which I know that my own inclination as a 12-year-old would have been to reply "Up Yours."
Chris Matyszczyk is my new hero. He suggests a 2-texts-per-day maximum for parents. My folks can barely remember to switch their phones on, which irks me. You see, I worry about them, and like to be able to reach them whenever, wherever.
