Over 3 year tamil cinema waiting for nan kadavul, the movie based on agoras. Intialy Ajith accepted to play as hero on this movie. Its fourth film from Bala after sethu, nandha, pithamagan. This film will be the turning point in actor Aryaas career. Fantastic music by Ilayaraja.

If you dont know how to appreciate an art work do keep all your etc's shut and dont open it widely and make some bad comments.
I hope you would change your character and if you dont like something or someone it doesnt mean that you are right and it is an universal truth that you cant make everyone happy.

Dont say something just for the sake of commenting.
At the outset, BALA your work is awesome, wonderful, phenomenal and really a great piece of work. I convey my sincere thanks to you for creating such a nice movie for us. I normally dont watch movies in theaters except selected movies like Anbe sivam, Dhasavatharam and normally i would watch these movies only once in theatre. But your movie was amazing, I watched it twice on the same day in theater and I couldnt stop me from watching the next day as well. I watched it 3 times in theater in just 2 days. It was wonderful to watch each and everyone's part in this movie. Adding Maestro's music is like a cherry on top of the Ice cream. Great work and co-operation from the entire team.
A Big thank you to Bala and if you read the comment from Sundaravadivel please ignore his comments you cant satisfy all the people in the world and there are some bad taste people in the world. You please keep up your good work and focus on your next movie and we are there to watch movies like NAAN KADAVUL more than two times in the theaters itself and not through any other source like the way how Mr. Sundara vadivel had watched.
Again a big thanks to the entire crew and hats off to Bala again.

If some one is daring to take a movie like this we should appreciate them
This Movie is little different from others .....
No big star cast but the characters are well choosen by Bala
Araya and Pooja - Had done decent job.
It is not an enternaining movie but Must watch movie..
Thanks for Bala and hates off for your stunning act in making this movie.

A good flim and awakening for all the people who live in cloud-9 and for all people who want to think life as a bed of roses. The flim potrays the ugly reality and a shameful world that we live in. I always question the existense of GOD and this flim has some of the examples why there isnt ONE. We need to stop such activites in our society, we need accept that though we are one of the fastest developing nations, we still carry the shame and burden of such cruelty.

Director Bala is one of the versatile Directors of South Indian Cinema.
This time he has done the most difficult subject into the reality.He is truly a genius. If you see this movie, camera has got the right angle which avoid the vulgarity of the Nude portrayal of the central character.Rendering of ideas, like sanskrit slokas has been right and there is hardly a scene which proves the film "NAN KADAVUL" senseless.
Background score and music is apt and very exact to the given situation,which adds glory to the scene.
The most touchy part of this movie was the climax scene. The director has completely got in mind what he thought.The moral of this story has been justified by the fact that "Those who are not willing to live, for them,death is the only boon".
It is the fact.We all know , this truth is very unacceptable by the audience ,but it has to be accepted. The movie has full truth in its complete content.
NOBODY and nobody can challenge this truth!!!!!

My findings:
AIM of FILM: Say the ultimate power is WISDOM.
The present physical ultimate shelter for all is believed as judiciary. Here Sri. Bala is effectively conveying a sorrowful truth that how judiciary(ultimate) fails and mockery of it. Even the judge is perplexed before the central character who is the symbol of wisdom.
All the other evil characters in the film are destroyed by the power and energy of wisdom ..
Criticism against the politicians, Govt .machinery, social setup, film stars, pseudo religious images are remarkable.
The reality inside the “make up” was shown- superb: eg: removing wigs,undress of nayanthara, leaving ‘gada’ and escape of hanuman,tears of lord muruka ,advice of nun etc.
Invisible shelter:
I think the search of the director is for a solution for the problems of alienated. Here the main question is who the invisible protector is. From the name of the film (aham brahmasmi) itself Sri.Bala starts and continuing the visuals from Varanasi , guru, cremation etc.
Like Budha the main character is away from parents. The wisdom he got from the guru is giving tremendous energy and power to him. Actually all the executions by him is not by a man. But by the wisdom.
Al last the blind girl (symbol of good, love etc) is catching the legs of wisdom and getting moksha.

A very confused movie.
The depiction of the poor in the slums and how they are treated is excellent.
The depiction of the tantric practitioner is also very believable.
However, connecting the two and making the sadhu the hero to kill the villains and also releasing the blind girl by killing her, is quite bizzare, i thought.
The pace is intense. Its quite disjointed and I am not quite sure what it was trying to achieve.
Incomparable to Slumdog. That was a class of its own.
