Home from Jesus' era found in Nazareth

A home in Nazareth dating back to the time of Jesus has been discovered by archaeologists. The Jesus-era Nazareth home find provides insight into the village and the type of house Jesus may have  lived in as a young boy, at least according to the New Testament.
"The dwelling and older discoveries of nearby tombs in burial caves suggest that Nazareth, now Israel's largest Arab city with some 65,000 people, was an out-of-the-way hamlet of around 50 houses on a patch of about four acres." (source: Times of India)
Yardena Alexandre, excavations director at the Israel Antiquities Authority says the Jews that lived in Nazareth were of "humble means," camouflaging there homes, fearful of the ruling Romans.
Now, Nazareth is a bustling town of 65 thousand, then it was a small village of perhaps 50 homes.
This may well have been a place that Jesus and his contemporaries were familiar with," Alexandre said. A young Jesus may have played around the house with his cousins and friends, she said. "It's a logical suggestion."
