NBC Fail Whale: 'Cockfail' as Show of Support for Conan
It was only a matter of time. a guy named Mitch Canter redesigned Yiying Lu's infamous Fail Whale to depict NBC's peacock logo. He calls it... cockfail. Take that however you like, but the message is clear: this dude supports Conan O'Brien in the Leno/O'Brien late night feud.
NBC had previously announced that it is kicking Conan to the curb, much to the dismay of his fans, who will have to find the remote and switch to a new channel to find the ginger-haired talk-show host. Oh, and they'll have to wait, too: part of the exit deal was that Conan must wait until September to start a new show. Leno needs all the head start he can get, since, once Conan is in a competing time slot on another channel, it's done.
I agree with Mitch's eloquent mashup: NBC backed the wrong horse on this one.
