The rumours about a new Seinfeldian sitcom never gained much momentum as far as I can tell,  but anyway here you go.

Sorry,
Seinfeld
fans.

NBC and Jerry Seinfeld shot down a New York Post report Friday that the comic was in talks with the network about a new sitcom. The report, citing no sources, said Seinfeld would play himself in a New York series similar to
Curb Your Enthusiasm
.

“There's nothing to it,” said NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks.

Seinfeld's spokeswoman, Elizabeth Clark Zoia, also said the story was completely false.

“We appreciate the enthusiasm, however,” she said.

The post didn't cite any sources or even get a comment from NBC reps?  I wonder how this ever got through.

Stumbled across the Bee Movie premiere in Sydney, Australia where Jerry was cool enough to cross the street from the red carpet to pose and shake hands with his fans.

Hi Rob,

I think Seinfeld made one of the smartest moves in Hollywood - he quit while he was ahead and never became embroiled in the Hollywood party/drug scene.

He's a millionaire several times over, why would he want to get back to a grueling day under the cameras again?  No, I don't believe it either.

After a 14 hour flight from the Netherlands to California, I finally reached my hotelroom and switched on the TV where Jerry Seinfeld was talking to Larry King. I felt a bit like home.

Honestly, I'm glad the rumors are false. Seinfeld was a great series and the cast seemed to have a magical chemistry. I haven't really seen anything by any of them since that even comes close. I agree with Swan, the smartest thing was quitting while ahead!

I have to say, that 'George Costanza tribute' picture is so funny!
