Atlanta Man Named Neal Horsley has Been Arrested for Terrorist Threats Against Elton John on YouTube

Neal Horsely from Atlanta was so offended when Elton John gave an interview with Parade.com where he stated that he thought Jesus Christ was a 'compassionate super intelligent gay man' that he decided to post a video on YouTube about his thoughts on the matter.

Now however, Horsely has been arrested for making 'terroristic' threats and it is believed those threats are against Elton John, but police have not confirmed this to be the case. Horsely's son Nathan Horsley however told the New York Daily News that he believes his father was arrested for the threats made against Elton John in the YouTube video.

Neal Horsley was arrested on Wednesday in Carrollton, which is west of Atlanta.

We watched his video so you don't have to.

The video is titled 'Elton John, his gay jesus, and Death.'

It begins with Elton John's Parade.com article then Horsely commenting that this means Jesus Christ had 'preverted sex in order to reach orgasm'.

Horsley goes to Elton John's Atlanta home and appears on video with a sign saying 'Elton John Must DIE' outside the apartment. He then says that 'we' are here today to remind Elton John that he has to die.

The text 'it is appointed unto men once to die, but then comes the judgment. Hebrews 9.27' then scrolls up the screen. Horsley then repeats the statement about Jesus Christ achieving orgasm but this time in more graphic detail. He calls that an 'evil lie' and 'blasphemy'.

He states that it is lucky Elton John is not a Muslim as if he was a fatwah would have been issued against him, but as 'we' are Christians there is no fatwah against him, but Horsley says they are trying to remind him that the Lord Holy Ghost has killed people for lying to God. He says that Christians have to stand up and resist all evil and not ignore it. Horsley wants Elton John to repent because if he doesn't then he will spend an eternity in hell for lying about Jesus Christ.

Then a man appears on camera telling Horsley that what he is doing is illegal and he has to move or the police will get involved. This man tells him that he is not allowed to direct any inflammatory speech towards a particular individual, namely Elton John. The man then says that law enforcement will be notified that Horsley is there.

Another man not seen before appears on camera holding the same sign as Horsley before. A sign in the background reads The Creator's Rights Party.

Then it goes back to Horsley outside with another man approaching him telling him he can't be there making statements about Elton John.

Cut to a shot of Neal's truck as it has 'Vote for Neal' on the back and it is covered with anti-abortion pictures. Next it appears that Horsley is arguing with another security guard telling him that they can't block his truck in and prevent him from going anywhere as he's pretty sure that is against the law.

It ends with Horsley talking about his speech from the Bible.

What a bizarre story.

What did this guy think was going to happen?

Did he somehow not realize that standing in the street with a sign calling for someone's death is the sort of thing that attracts law-enforcement attention.

And, finally, where do these people come from?!

Really nicely written article. People never fail to surprise me.

Wow - standing there and doing on the street on camera and uploading it to YouTube nakes it not a very covert threat. Surely this man is (said in a John Wayne accent standing under the cross) suffering with mental illness.

Interesting the use of 'terrorist threats' in the cause of arrest. There are, according to Wikipedia, over a hundred different definitions of 'terrorism'.

Violence or threat of violence underpinned by ideological reasons and usually not against the military but civilian - though many attacks against military bases and troops by non-recognised political groups outside but now also inside theaters of war are labeled terrorist.

I think some thought has to given as to the use of the word terrorist specifically by the state as if they label something terrorist it gives them more powers to hold without charge etc etc well here in the UK certainly.

A whole piece on the words 'terrorism' and 'terrorist' might be interesting at some point.
