The <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Beverly Hills Film, TV, & New Media Festival is a celebration of the best of cinematic, television, and emerging technologies. In its inaugural year the festival will exhibit a selection of both short- and long-form works that exhibit a strong personal vision combined with the highest standards of creative excellence and technical achievement. Qualifying projects will be judged by a jury of notable executives and industry experts. All finalists will also be reviewed by distributors for possible online, theatrical, or broadcast distribution.
The opening night inaugural party will be held in a private Beverly Hills residence followed by two days of screenings in the heart of the entertainment industry at The Clarity Theater in Beverly Hills, the sister city of Cannes.
Beverly Hills offers one the most famous shopping districts in the world and numerous well-known restaurants (many frequented by movie stars), posh hotels such as The Beverly Hills Hotel ("The Pink Palace") and the Beverly Wilshire (where "Pretty Woman was filmed). Beverly Hills is also home to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences headquarters and library as well as the Museum of Television & Radio.
The Festival will take place from Thursday, October 21, through Sunday, October 24, 2010 and is currently accepting submissions through September 30, 2010.
