New Dark Knight Rises Trailer: Catwoman Reps the 99%

The Dark Knight Rises Trailer: Bane, Catwoman, Echoes of OWS

The new trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises has hit the web, and it's epic. We have Bane (Tom Hardy) doing unkind things to a football field, along with Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) flirting with Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale). It also features Joseph Gordon-Levitt... well, just kind of standing there.

It's interesting to see Catwoman portrayed as a sort of poster-girl for Occupy Wall Street, which was going on in real-life Zuccotti Park when The Dark Knight Rises was shooting on location in Manhattan. Hey, it doesn't get much more 1% than Bruce freakin' Wayne.

Even though the most cliched line in screenwriting ("there's a storm coming") appears, we have to give this trailer the thumbs-up.

The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20, 2012, starring Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman. This will be Christopher Nolan's last Batman flick.
