The Yellow Badge was one of the few identifiers used by the Nazis during the Holocaust Period to mark Jews, and eventually to lead them to their death. It became the main symbol of the Holocaust, and of the humiliation of the Jewish People during World War 2. It evokes strong feelings (mostly too strong) of empathy with the fear and the suffering of the Holocaust victims. This art exhibit shows how artists processed these feelings, each from his private point of view.

Opening the event on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day provides an added way to remember and to honor the 6 million Jews and 5 million others who died in Nazi Germany death camps.
