A source tells People the group will make the announcement in the next few weeks.
The boy band – made up of Jordan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood and Jonathan Knight – were a worldwide phenomenon in the early ‘90s, selling more than 50 million albums worldwide before calling it quits in 1994.
With such songs as “Hangin’ Tough,” “Step By Step” and “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” made tweens across the globe swoon.
Of course, more than a decade later, these “Kids” are all grown up.
Donnie, now 38, has dabbled in acting, landing roles in “The Sixth Sense,” “Saw II,” “Saw IV” and the TV series “Boomtown.”
Danny, also 38, released a solo album and worked as a producer with Donnie on a Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch album, fronted by Donnie’s younger brother-turned-Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg.
Jonathan, who turns 40 later this month, is now a real estate developer on the East Coast.
Jordan, the group’s lead singer, achieved some success as a solo singer after the group disbanded. He also appeared on the third season of VH1’s “The Surreal Life” in 2004 and also appeared in the 2007 spinoff “The Surreal Life: Fame Games,” before leaving the show for personal reasons.
Joey, the baby of the group who is now 35, also released a solo album, and spent time acting. His TV credits include “Boston Public” and “Less Than Perfect.” He also spent some time on Broadway. Most recently, Joey returned to the spotlight in 2006 on the ABC reality show “Dancing With the Stars,” where he finished third with partner Ashley DelGrosso.

Hello Cynthia,
Now if they can only bring back Elvis, I'd be a very happy person! *laughs*

Amazing that a new generation is falling in love with these "kids". My niece is 12 y.o. and from the minute she saw Joey McIntyre on Dancing with the Stars, she was smitten. I took her to see the DWTS tour in Richmond VA and we had some pretty good seats, but when they came to Wilkes Barre, PA I was able to treat her to VIP seating right front and center of the stage! She was beside herself with excitement because at the Richmond show, Joey had taken a lady from the audience up on stage and sang to her. My niece SWORE that she would get to go up on stage in Wilkes-Barre and she did nothing but dream out loud about it for the 2 months before the show. Wouldn't you know it ... there he was, standing right in front of us and he walked over, took her by the hand and lead her up on stage! As you can tell by the look on her face, she was barely breathing. I think that the cutest part was when he told the audience WHY he chose her to sing to. Appearantly, while they were dancing up there, every time he would dance close to where we were sitting, she would wink at him, so he said he couldn't NOT bring her up on stage! She has YET to wear, or wash, the blue dress again she wore that night and her walls are plastered with Joey Mcintyre pictures .... this one I had framed for her and it is the center of attention for any, and all, visitors!

Jordan put on a fun show, with a good nature about himself. He also comes off as crowd-friendly, seemingly enthusiastically bringing crowd members up to the mic.

I hope that NKOTB kid brother Mark Wahlberg will be wise enough one day, to reunite his legendary Funky Bunch. 'Come on, feel the vibration!'
