(Cue your best movie trailer announcer voice...)
In a world...gone mad...
In a time...without hope...
Four turtles...with nothing left to lose...
Will take the biggest step of their lives...
Back...
To the box office...
That's right kids: everyone's favourite heroes in a half shell — the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — will be returning to the big screen in 2011 for a new live action TMNT movie.
This fifth movie in the 'Turtle Power' franchise comes more than a quarter century after the ninja-skilled, weapon-wielding turtles named after Renaissance painters (Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello) were first introduced to audiences, in comic book form, back in 1984.
The film's title and an exact release date have yet to be announced. In the meantime, catch the TMNT cartoon Saturday mornings on the CW Network.
Trade magazine Variety said the film, which is expected to be released in 2011, will focus on the origins of the crime-fighting heroes.
The project will be the fifth big screen outing for the characters - the last movie, TMNT, came out in 2007.

I'm presuming that the words "ninja" and "turtle" will figure in the title somehow.
