The New York Times expects a further decline in advertising reven

The U.S. press group of the New York Times announced Wednesday that it expected a further decline in sales during the quarter that ends, digital advertising revenues failing to take over advertising paper .

The company, which owns the New York daily of the same name and the Boston Globe, expects a turnover declined overall by 2 to 3%, reflecting a 5% drop in advertising revenue that the paper up 14% of digital advertising can not compensate.

The revenue distribution is also expected to decline by 5% during the period from July to September.

Two months ago, the newspaper, which had announced a quarterly sales stabilized and even marked by a slight increase of 1.2%, table for the current quarter on an increase in advertising from one quarter to the one for paper editions, and around 16% growth in digital.

Analysts on average expected a sales decline of 0.9% during the quarter.
